Covid -19 safety Regulations
The Driving range and golf course at Bodelwyddan is a space space for you to come and exercise and gain mental well being, however, we must be aware of the risks of transmission and the acts that us as management and you as patrons must do to reduce any risk of transmission.
The following outlines our strict procedures that you must take when visiting the driving range and golf course.
Entering the Driving Range and collecting balls
Normal practice is to enter through the pro shop, but due to restrictions we now enter through the gate near the normal entrance,
Social distance markers have been placed on the pathway to the open doorway entrance , which leads to the range kiosk.
This minimises risk of infection through touching hard surfaces to enter the driving range.
The social distance markers must be adhered to and a distance of at least 2 meters must be followed at all times.
Collection of golf balls.
Normal practice is to purchase a token, and then travel to the ball machine where a sanitising station is set up for you. This minimises your chance of infection from hard surfaces like; money, range baskets, and ball machine token.
In light of this we are only accepting card payments and this will be done from the kiosk on entry to the openair driving range.
Once balls have been purchased, you will be allocated and outside bay and the balls will be bought over to you and poured on the ground next to the matt.
Our golf balls go through a rigorous 2 wash programme every day and with the butler service by a member of staff you will not have to touch anything except your own personal equipment and a sanitised range ball.
Upon entry hand santiser will be displayed by the kiosk and all customers must sanitise their hands before moving to their bay.
The Driving range bays
Our range is a very large, spacious and open air. The bays are 3.6 meters apart giving plenty of social distancing to our customers. Facemasks must be worn on entry to the range and recommended to keep on whilst hitting balls.
In the pre covid world its great fun to watch your friends and family hit golf balls well or badly. However in these strange times we operate a strict policy of no spectators. You are there to exercise and is strictly 1 bay per person.
Our matts have been moved out onto the open air field so you are practicing from a fully outdoor position as stated in the welsh government guidelines.
Finishing and exiting the building
Once finished you must move along the wide gangway to the end of the driving range towards the swing tuition studio. You will be directed by signs and roped off area to exit round the side of the range and out through the far gate furthest away from the entrance,
Golfers should not loiter and get in their cars and leave without delay.
You must not exit through the entrance and follow the one way system so your entrance and exit to the driving range bypasses all interior normal routes and is outside in the fresh air.
Face masks must been worn on entry and exit.
We have changed our operating procedure so that you enter and exit in separate outside gates. You sanitise your hands on entry and exit and you do not touch any hard surfaces, you must where facemasks when entering and exiting and never get closer than 2 meters from any other golfer.
All of these procedures we take will eliminate the risk of transmission and must be followed diligently.
Golf Course entry and rules
Entrance to the golf course is operated by the same queing system using the social distnacing markers on entrance as stated in the driving range rules. One signed in you will the procede directly to the exit at the other side of the range which takes you to a roped off area. Here the golf course side of the course rope stops halfway up allowing you access to the 1st tee.
Golf will be able to be played with a maximum of four people from two households (Children under 11 and carers do not count towards this limit.). No society golf bookings should take place until further notice.
You exit through the one way exit gate and same rules apply of leaving promtly apply when you get into the car park
